Sarah Shanahan (Cowen)
Sarah is a Sensory Scientist with a passion for food. Sarah has been working in the discipline since 2005 for major national and international food production and retail companies including Mars Chocolate UK Ltd., Tesco Plc UK and Sobeys Inc. in Canada.
Sarah has a BSc Degree in Applied Biology and Post Graduate Certificate in Sensory Science.
Sarah’s knowledge of sensory and consumer research practices has enabled her to setup and run programs to help companies develop optimal products for customers, including those which have gone on to become top sellers.
Sarah has experience in the setup of customer taste panels, specialist panels, central location tests, focus groups, depth interviews and expert quantitative descriptive panels. Sarah is proficient in facilitating research, questionnaire design, panellist database management, testing with children, data analysis, presenting and reporting.
